WhoCalledMe.net.za is a free, community-powered database of spam, scam, and fraudulent telephone numbers reported by South Africans, for South Africans.
Why We Built This
Spam calls and SMS scams are a growing problem in South Africa. From fake SARS refund calls to puppy scammers on Gumtree and OLX, fraudsters operate freely because there is no central, publicly accessible database where South Africans can check a number before responding.
This site was built to fill that gap. It is independent, free to use, and relies entirely on community contributions to grow.
How the Database is Built
Our database is populated from two sources: community submissions via our Report a Number form, and automated scanning of publicly available South African online sources where scam numbers are discussed. All entries are reviewed before publication.
Wrong Listing? Get It Removed
If your number has been incorrectly reported, you can request removal via our Contact page. We take removal requests seriously and will investigate within 7 business days.
